OUR MISSION

We’re a community-supported group that gets together to make and deliver burritos to the community in hunger or living on the street. We are 100% organized by volunteers and are passionate about bringing people together to make a difference. 100% of donations go towards purchasing ingredients and supplies to make and deliver food.

OUR STORY

Burrito Project SF was founded in 2016 by Jimmy Ryan. A native of Los Angeles, Jimmy started as a volunteer at Burrito Project LA. When he moved to San Francisco, he started to volunteer at Martin de Porres House of Hospitality on a weekly basis. With the support of the community at Martin’s, Burrito Project SF was launched.

Since then Burrito Project SF has grown and is organized by a committee each month. Burrito Project SF is part of a national movement to provide a simple meal to improve the lives of people living in hunger or with housing insecurity. There are Burrito Projects located throughout North America.

If you’re interested in starting a Burrito Project in your city, feel free to contact us using the form below and we will be happy to help share our knowledge to help you get started.
